Khel

Titled ‘Kaya’ meaning ‘body’ in Sanskrit; the collection is inspired by the drapes and ornamentations of traditional Indian mythological history, temple sculptures and celebrating the human form - transcending into shaped patchworks over sheer fabric that exaggerate a feeling of sensual and mystery to coexist, evolutionising the traditional clothing journey. Fabrics primarily include bases of silk chanderi, accented with satin and silk patchworks, jersey drapes and ribbed edgings. Surface ornamentations recreate traditional ornamentations like necklaces, armbands, cummerbands, bangles - through use of quilting, pearls, sequins, silver metal threads, crystals, hand made cloth tassels and cord fringes. .
